HOW KITZ MICRO FILTERS ARE BETTER THAN CONVENTIONAL RO AND UV FILTERS

If you’re using municipal water or having source water TDS below 300 ppm and you’re using R.O. or UV water purifiers for drinking water then below information is useful for you.

We must choose a water purification system based on our source water quality. However, in India, most of us are using RO or UV systems regardless of considering our source water quality. For better understanding let us go through in depth.

What is RO Purifier?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems is a very commonly found option for water purification system in India. Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a semi permeable RO membrane to separate unwanted molecules and larger particles, mainly salt, salination and hardness like calcium from water. Water is passed through the semipermeable RO membrane with a high pressure, removing around 95% to 99% of reduction of Total dissolved Solids (TDS) from the source water while generating drinking water.

RO systems are useful, where the water TDS is more then 500 ppm or has more salination & hardness.

However, RO systems has certain limitations as well.

1) RO systems removes natural minerals from the water, making it almost demineralised or less mineral water while using with low TDS source water.

2) It wastes more then 60% water.

3) RO systems can not remove heavy metals like arsenic, Iron(rust), aluminium etc.

4) It can not remove micro-organisms like bacteria and viruses and chlorine as well

6) It is a time consuming process for water purification. It alters the taste of water.

What is UV Purifier?

UV water filters are those filters which use UV-ultraviolet rays to disinfect water and make it free from any bacteria or viruses. It uses unique lamps to emit light of a wavelength between 240 nm to 280 nm. These ultraviolet light rays kill microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, cysts, etc.

UV Water filters are suitable for the source water which is chemical and heavy metal free.

UV water Filters also have certain limitations.

1) UV filter can not remove impurities like, heavy metal iron (rust),  arsenic, aluminium etc. it can only kill virsuses and bacterias.

2) It is not effective for muddy water or water which has high turbidity.

4) One compulsory has to install a pre-filter system before UV Filters which is not much effective.

5)It Requires electricity consumption

What is KITZ Micro Filters?

To resolve all the limitations of RO and UV water purification systems, KITZ MicroFilters Corporation Japan has introduced innovative drinking water filters as per JIS and JWPA Japan Drinking water standards. The  KITZ Micro-Filters are mechanical water filters. It’s the latest Japanese technology specialise for purifying  municipal water. It has 3 models Purifree, OSS-T7, OAS-9. These filters have advance four layer filtration capabilities. Kitz Micro Filters are best water purifier for municipal water or where the source water has TDS Less then 300 ppm.

HOW KITZ MICRO FILTERS ARE DIFFERENT THAN CONVENTIONAL RO AND UV FILTERS

1.       Kitz Micro filters are tested as per JIS and JWPA Japan Standards and manufactured by passing all the strict quality standards. It can remove 19 types of contamination as listed on our website.

2.       It does not remove  useful minerals from the drinking water.

3.       It’s a quality product by global brand KITZ CORPORATION JAPAN.

4.       It does not require electricity.

5.       It does not generate any Water Wastage.

6.       There is no moving part that’s why it does not require frequent expensive Service or maintenance.

7.       Kitz Micro-filters is made to produce safe and pure drinking water.

8.       It generates drinking water with high water output as 2.0 to 5.0 litre per minute.
